Cutri Fruit
How Australia’s largest stonefruit grower is strengthening accountability, protecting quality, and ensuring consistency across 500 hectares.

From improving spray visibility to supporting application consistency, Cutri Fruit has been using Tabula as a key operational system across its large-scale horticulture operation for the past five years.
We recently spoke with Cutri Fruit CEO Paul Mobilio to hear how Tabula has helped improve spray oversight, identify equipment issues earlier, and support greater operational consistency across the business.

The Business
Cutri Fruit, Australia’s largest stonefruit grower, has been operating in Victoria for more than 50 years. The business specialises in premium-quality stonefruit including peaches, nectarines, plums, and apricots, alongside avocados and mandarins.
Operating across 500 hectares, Cutri Fruit combines large-scale growing operations with state-of-the-art packing facilities, supplying both domestic and international markets, including China.
Since adopting Tabula, the business has used the platform to support spray visibility, monitor application rates, and improve oversight across day-to-day operations.
Improved visibility and confidence across spray operations
Paul introduced Tabula to Cutri Fruit – having used it at a previous farming enterprise – after the business took over management of a large farming operation spread across five separate properties during COVID.
With new blocks to establish and a new team managing the expansion, Tabula became an important operational tool helping provide confidence that spray rounds were being completed at the correctly across the operation.
“Tabula gave me the confidence we were spraying when required at the correct speed and rate,” said Paul.
The platform also provided reliable application data to validate completed spray jobs, including insecticide and fungicide applications where issues are not always immediately visible in the field and may only become apparent at harvest.
Strengthening accountability and reducing operational risk
Like most horticulture operations, meeting spray calendar demands is critical for Cutri Fruit as it directly impacts crop loads and fruit quality. After introducing Tabula, Paul said, “There was an immediate change as our operators knew they had to do the job properly”.
The platform helped strengthen accountability across the team while making it easier to identify sprayer issues before they became larger operational problems.
For a large-scale horticulture business, Paul says the investment in Tabula can be justified by preventing even a single major spraying mistake: “Missing one key spray on one hectare more than covers the cost of our annual subscription”.
Supporting consistency across large-scale horticulture operations
For Cutri Fruit, Tabula has become an important part of day-to-day operations, helping ensure spray applications are completed on time and at the correct rate and speed across the business.
“Tabula, along with weekly spot checks, helps ensure blocks are sprayed on time and at the correct rate and speed,” said Paul.
As one of Australia’s largest stonefruit growers, Paul says he would recommend Tabula to other large-scale horticulture operations where missed blocks, inconsistent applications, and limited operational visibility can create significant risk.
